Southern Ore Zone

High grade gold-copper ore, at an average head grade of 5.6g/t of gold, was mined from the Southern Ore Zone by Triako Resources Limited from 2004 to 2005. The mine was placed on care and maintenance at a time due to the exhaustion of economic reserves when gold was approximately $450/oz. The deposit is accessed via a pre-existing drive from the decline that is currently used for the Parkers Hill underground mine.

KBL has commenced dewatering the decline to access the SOZ drive, allowing the SOZ and ESOZ deposits to be reached by late 2012. Mining operations are expected to commence by early 2013 following rehabilitation of the access providing high grade Cu-Au ore to blend with Cu ore from Parkers Hill. Importantly, gold credits will materially increase with mined ore from SOZ and ESOZ.

Extending SOZ Resource

SOZ Resource is currently from 100 to 400m from surface. Only 3% of all historical drilling at Mineral Hill (approximately 75 of 2,500 drill holes) extend below 300m from surface.

SOZ Resource is open in all directions.
